Hey there! I've had the pleasure of shooting at the Domaine Mallity Estate in Clarence-Rockland, Ontario which is a new venue as of 2024! Nestled just 40 minutes outside of Ottawa, this venue is a real gem and I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Firstly, the bridal getting ready room is nothing short of stunning. It's a dream come true for any photographer, with ample natural light that makes for those perfect, Instagram-worthy shots. Trust me, your make-up artist will thank you!
&nbsp;
The venue itself is quite versatile, accommodating for intimate gatherings and grand affairs alike. For those planning a cozy celebration, the indoor space can comfortably seat 70 guests. If you're thinking bigger, the outdoor tented area can hold up to a whopping 150 guests. And with 55 acres of property to play with, you'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to picturesque backdrops for your photos.
&nbsp;
And let's talk about the bar service. Fully stocked and ready to serve, your guests will be well catered for. The best part? You have the option to bring your own catering. So, whether you have a favourite family recipe or a caterer you've been eyeing, the choice is all yours!
&nbsp;
One of my favourite features of Domaine Mallity Estate is the option to have the first dance outside on the covered deck. There's something incredibly romantic about swaying under the stars, don't you think?

As the night draws in, guests can gather around a cozy bonfire. It's the perfect chance to roast some marshmallows, share stories, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
&nbsp;
Now, the one thing to note is that this place is popular. I mean, understandably so! Therefore, I'd recommend booking at least 12-18 months in advance to secure your spot.

All in all, Domaine Mallity Estate offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, making it the perfect setting for any wedding. So, if you're currently on the hunt for a venue &ndash; you might just want to add this one to your list!

I had the sheer pleasure of capturing Amber and Stephen's wedding day, nestled in the heart of the Ottawa Valley in Pembroke, Ontario. Their choice of venue was a quaint and charming farmhouse, a place beaming with rustic, vintage vibes and an undeniable warmth, much like the couple themselves.
&nbsp;
When I first met Amber and Stephen, their love for each other and their shared joy about their upcoming wedding was contagious. Their story was beautifully woven into every detail of their wedding day, right from the needlepoint photo of a bouquet of flowers that served as inspiration, to their carefully curated collection of vintage pieces that adorned the venue.
&nbsp;
The best part of the day, in my opinion, was the couple's unique way to honour their loved ones who had passed on. They had a special stand for flower petal confetti that guests were to throw once they were married and walking back down the aisle. The confetti was a beautiful metaphor, representing those who couldn't be there physically, but were undeniably present in spirit. This was particularly poignant for Stephen, who had lost his sister to cancer a few years prior.
&nbsp;
Mother Nature added her own touch to the day as it began to pour just as I arrived! We had to pivot plans to have a first look so that Amber and Stephen could have some beautiful photos together outdoors as the weather forecast predicted rain all day. But, as if by some magic, the skies cleared just in time for the ceremony, allowing us to capture some stunning family photos and bridal portraits before the downpour resumed.
&nbsp;
As for the reception, it was held in a barn that Amber's brother had transformed into a dreamy wedding venue. The barn was adorned with vintage decorations and old family wedding photos, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that perfectly encapsulated the theme of the day.
&nbsp;
Their humorous personalities shown through when they entered the reception for their first dance with a wrestling belt! They had confetti guns to fire off and start the party.
&nbsp;
The day was filled with laughter, tears, and an overwhelming amount of love. It was a day that truly reflected Amber and Stephen&rsquo;s personalities, and I was privileged to be a part of it. It just goes to show, even if it rains on your wedding day, it can still be the most beautiful day of your life. After all, they say rain on your wedding day is lucky.

In terms of locations and timing, I recommend planning your ceremony around the golden hour - that's the hour after sunrise or before sunset. The lighting is just magical, and it makes for some stunning photos. Also, don't forget to plan some time for just the two of you. Whether that's a first look, or a private moment after the ceremony, this is a day to celebrate your love.

Which brings me to elopement destinations. Canada is a treasure trove of beautiful locations, and I've been lucky enough to photograph in many of them. Ontario, where I currently reside, has some real gems. The rugged beauty of Tobermory, the charming vineyards of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the serene landscapes of the Thousand Islands - it's hard to go wrong.

If you're more of a city dweller, Toronto is a great option. The Distillery District, High Park, the Scarborough Bluffs - all offer unique backdrops for your special day. And let's not forget about Ottawa. The nation's capital has plenty of historic charm and beautiful parks that are perfect for elopements.

For those willing to venture a little further, the East Coast is a dream. There's something so romantic about getting married on the rugged coastline of Nova Scotia or in the charming streets of Charlottetown, PEI.

Elizabeth was an absolute joy to work with. We used her for our recent wedding and wow.  The pictures blew us away!
