Ethereal Love at Eagles Nest Lookout

January 18th, 2024

On this January day it was supposed to be -10 degrees celsius but Mother Nature had a different idea in mind. The clouds opened and the most enchanted snowfall started coming down. Combined with the warmth of Meagan and Paul’s love we were anything but cold.

Meagan was adorned in a Randy Fenoli Dress from “Say Yes to the Dress”.

Meagan embraced the winter wonderland around her and visions of a snow queen danced in my head. Her beauty was captivating. I left the photoshoot feeling like these were going to be magazine worthy but I will let you be the judge of that!

would you like to elope here?

tip # 1

Beat the crowds! Visit Eagles Nest on a week day. This is a very popular location and especially within the last few years it’s popularity has taken off.

tip # 2

Stay for the sunset. Pack a flash light or a headlamp. Most people will hike out long before it gets dark and they miss out on the most spectacular part of this cliff! The sun sets directly across over the mountains and water. The hike out is super easy and you will have no issue navigating your way out with a light source.

tip # 3

Make sure you time your elopement according to the light, closer to golden hours is best (hour before sunset). My elopement packages assist with timeline planning and I do the work for you! You are going to want the best lighting here as the mid day light can be very harsh on your skin tones.

tip # 4

Hire a photographer who is familiar with the area. They will be able to tell you the best location to stand as well as the best angles to capture. Ask if they have a change tent so you can get dressed at the top instead of hiking up in your attire. You want to stay as clean as possible! Bring extra make up, bobby pins and a mirror for hair and make up touch ups.
