Barron Canyon lies on the eastern side of Algonquin provincial park. It is an easy 10 minute hike up to the cliff tops. There are multiple look out areas to take in the beauty as Barron Canyon harbours some of the most spectacular views in the park. You overlook the river below where you can watch canoes float by.

Beat the crowds! Elope on a week day. Barron Canyon is a busy location on the weekends and during the summer. It is an easy hike so that calls for crowds! We offer a significant discount Mon-Thurs, please contact for details!

Make sure you contact the park to clarify that they are okay with you eloping at Barron Canyon. They are generally okay with a small group of people but if you opt to have more guests it is best to check with the park to ensure you are “legal”

Ensure you have the proper permits. You will need park day passes to be in the park.
Fun fact: CAF members and veterans get in free mon-fri but you still have to register for a pass.

Book a photographer that knows the area! They will be a wealth of knowledge. I have preferred vendors who will accommodate elopements in Algonquin! If you book with me I can help you find vendors to fit your needs.

Plan your elopement with the light! At Barron Canyon the sun drops behind the trees earlier than you would expect! This is also why booking with a photographer that knows the area will come in handy. All of my packages include timeline planning so I do the work for you!

Book a canoe trip after for your honeymoon! There are multiple companies in the area that will drop off a canoe at achray campground which is not far from Barron Canyon and pick you up at squirrel rapids. You can canoe right through the canyon that you just eloped in! What an amazing experience to be on the top and the bottom!
